This car adapter plugs into a cigarette-lighter socket to power the Game Boy on long journeys, one of many such accessories made by third-party companies.

Distributed by Laing Marketing, it also works with the Game Boy Pocket and Sega's Game Gear. The collection holds several other car adapters, including Nintendo's own Japanese version.
