Pokemon Pinball turns the Pokedex into a pair of pinball tables: you launch a Poke Ball around the playfield to find, catch and evolve Pokemon, racking up a score as you go. It was Nintendo's first Game Pak with a rumble motor built into the cartridge, powered by its own AAA battery, so the whole Game Boy shakes when the ball slams into a bumper.
This is the Japanese release (DMG-VPHJ-JPN). Although it was sold for the Game Boy Color, it is a dual-mode cartridge that also runs on the original DMG-01 in shades of grey, with the rumble working on either machine; only the infrared high-score trading needs a Game Boy Color. Developed by Jupiter and published by Nintendo, it reached Japan in 1999.
