Many Game Boy games had little or no save function, and saving at will was rarely possible. InterAct's Mega Memory Card answered that by storing the current progress of up to 100 games to be reloaded later.
It was a real help for longer games. The collection also holds the Japanese Karat memory backup, which did much the same job.
