This hard case is a special edition Nintendo released in Japan around the launch of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. It was a limited Japanese release and is hard to find today.

 

It holds the Game Boy, the Battery Pack (DMG-03) and some games. Super Mario Land 2 itself is also catalogued in the collection.
