Game Boy

This Japanese advertisement promotes the Konami Hyperboy, one of the most ambitious third-party accessories for the Game Boy. The Hyperboy turned the handheld into a small tabletop arcade with a joystick, amplified stereo sound and a magnified screen.

The advert reflects the early-90s fascination with expanding the Game Boy into a more immersive home experience. The Hyperboy itself is also catalogued in the collection.
