Inspector Waffles: Early Days is a modern Game Boy adventure published by Broke Studio and developed by Goloso Games. Played from a top-down view with point-and-click style investigation, it follows the cat detective Waffles through his first days on the job in Cat Town, hunting for clues and interviewing the witnesses and suspects with his partner at his side. It is a prequel to the earlier Inspector Waffles game.
Released in 2024 as a brand-new physical cartridge made in France, it runs on the original Game Boy, the DMG-01, as well as the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. Officially unaffiliated with Nintendo, it belongs to the recent wave of new Game Boy releases the collection documents, alongside other Broke Studio titles such as Fortified Zone 2.
