This board game is based on the Super Mario Land Game Boy game and was released by Bandai in 1989, the same year as the video game itself.
It lets players physically work through the levels of the computer game on a board. It was sold only in Japan and in very limited numbers, which makes it an unusual companion piece to the Super Mario Land cartridges held in the collection.
