The Berlitz French Translator is one of the most unusual non-gaming releases for the Game Boy, turning the handheld into a portable language-learning and translation device. Developed with Berlitz, it offers vocabulary, phrase translations and language reference tools for travellers and students.
It is part of Nintendo's early effort to position the Game Boy as a practical everyday device, alongside the InfoGenius productivity titles in the collection.
