The GB Interceptor is a cartridge that sits between a Game Boy and its game and streams the console's picture to a PC over USB, so gameplay from an unmodified Game Boy can be recorded or shown live. It began as an open-source hardware project by Sebastian Staacks.
This is an original unit from the device's inventor, Sebastian Staacks, given to the museum as a gift. The story of the device and its creator is told in our Journal article, The Game Boy That Learned to Google. A separately built replica is also held in the collection.
