mGB is a free, open-source Game Boy cartridge that turns the console into a MIDI-controllable sound module. Created by Timothy Lamb (trash80), it lets a Game Boy be played from any MIDI keyboard, sequencer or computer, giving external gear direct access to the machine's four sound channels. A poly mode lets it behave like a small polyphonic synthesizer.
mGB is designed to be used together with an Arduinoboy, which bridges the Game Boy's link port to standard five-pin MIDI. This copy was supplied by HobbyChop alongside their Arduinoboy Pro.
