Game de Hakken!! Tamagotchi 2 is a Game Boy adaptation of Bandai's virtual-pet craze, letting players hatch, feed and raise their Tamagotchi on the handheld screen. It was released only in Japan and is Super Game Boy enhanced.

Unlike its elaborate successor, Tamagotchi 2 uses a conventional Game Boy cartridge: it keeps your pet with a battery-backed save, but it does not carry the famous real-time TAMA5 hardware. That one-of-a-kind board arrived a year later with Osutchi to Mesutchi.
