When the Game Boy reached Europe in 1990, Nintendo Germany issued this special edition of its Club Nintendo magazine to introduce members to the console, its games and the available hardware.
The Game Boy, designed by Nintendo's Gunpei Yokoi, had launched in Japan in April 1989 and the US that July before its European release. This magazine marks that European arrival and is one of several club publications in the collection.
