The Arduinoboy is an open-source interface that connects the Game Boy to the world of MIDI, letting the handheld sync with and be controlled by modern music gear and software. Based on the work of Timothy Lamb (trash80), it plugs into the Game Boy link port and offers several modes: it can slave a Game Boy running Little Sound Dj to a MIDI clock or a DAW, sync Nanoloop, or drive the mGB cartridge, which turns the Game Boy into a MIDI sound module with a poly mode that plays the console like a synthesizer. A push button switches between the modes.
This is the HobbyChop Pro build in black, supplied with a five-pin DIN MIDI socket and an mGB cartridge, alongside its LSDj, Chord, Drum & Bass II and Boom Bap programs.
