The Berlitz Spanish Translator is one of GameTek's non-gaming InfoGenius cartridges, turning the Game Boy into a portable language and translation tool. The box advertises around 300 travel phrases, 12,000 words, simple menus and currency conversion, aimed at travellers and students.
Developed with Berlitz and released in the early 1990s, it is the Spanish counterpart to the Berlitz French Translator already catalogued in the collection, and part of Nintendo's early effort to sell the Game Boy as a practical everyday device rather than a games-only machine.
